Amon Amarth je švédska melodic death metalová kapela z mesta Tumba, založená v roku 1992. Jej texty čerpajú takmer výlučne z vikingskej mytológie a histórie, názov skupiny pochádza z elfštiny J. R. R. Tolkiena a označuje Horu osudu.
Album The Great Heathen Army vyšiel v zberateľskom box sete na CD. Toto dvanásty štúdiový album kapely pokračuje vo vikingskej tematike a prináša deväť skladieb vrátane titulnej The Great Heathen Army, Oden Owns You All či Dawn of Norsemen. Hosťom na skladbe Saxons and Vikings je Biff Byford.
