Ian Anderson je škótsky hudobník, multiinštrumentalista a skladateľ, zakladateľ a vôdčia osobnosť progresívnej rockovej skupiny Jethro Tull. Charakteristický flautový prejav, spev a gitarová hra sa stali nezameniteľným znakom jeho tvorby.
Double album Plays Classical Jethro Tull na vinyle prináša koncertný záznam s orchestrom Frankfurt Neue Philharmonie Orchestra. Album obsahuje orchestrálne aranžmány klasických skladieb Jethro Tull vrátane Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, Bourée alebo Living in the Past. Nahrávka pôvodne vyšla v roku 2005, teraz je prvýkrát dostupná na vinyle v plnej dĺžke.
Na koncertnom turné Iana Andersona sprevádzali Florian Opahle (akustická a elektrická gitara), David Goodier (basgitara, zvonkohra) a James Duncan (bicie, perkusie).
