John Williams je americký skladateľ a dirigent, ktorého tvorba zahŕňa niektoré z najslávnejších filmových hudieb v histórii. Počas svojej sedemdesiatročnej kariéry získal 27 cien Grammy, päť Oscarov a množstvo ďalších ocenení. Je druhým najčastejšie nominovaným na Oscara v histórii tohto ocenenia.
Album John Williams Reimagined na CD predstavuje orchestrálne stvárnenie skladateľovej hudby, ktorá sa stala neodmysliteľnou súčasťou filmovej kinematografie. Williams sa preslávil najmä spoluprácou s režisérmi Stevenom Spielbergom a Georgeom Lucasom, pre ktorých zložil hudbu k filmom ako Star Wars, Čeľuste, Indiana Jones, E.T., Jurský park alebo prvé tri diely série Harry Potter. Jeho kompozičný štýl spája romantizmus, impresionizmus a atonálnu hudbu so zložitou orchestráciou.
