Rick Astley je britský spevák a skladateľ, ktorý sa preslávil hitom Never Gonna Give You Up (1987). Do roku 1993, keď ukončil kariéru, predal viac než 40 miliónov albumov, kariéru obnovil v roku 2001.
Hold Me in Your Arms vyšlo 26. novembra 1988 ako pokračovanie úspešného debutu Whenever You Need Somebody. Je to posledný album, ktorý vznikol pod producentským dohľadom legendárneho tria Stock Aitken Waterman. Doska získala platinové a zlaté certifikáty po celom svete a tri z piatich singlov sa umiestnili v britskej Top 10.
