Ayreon je projekt holandského multiinštrumentalistu Arjena Lucassena, ktorý kombinuje progressive metal so symfonickými prvkami a rockovými operami. Texty sa pohybujú v sci-fi a fantasy kulisách s mierovým a ekologickým posolstvom.
Album 01011001: Live Beneath the Waves vyšiel v roku 2024 u vydavateľstva Music Theories Recordings ako živé prevedenie konceptuálneho albumu 01011001 z roku 2008. Trojdiskové CD obsahuje 40 skladieb nahraných počas koncertov v septembri 2023 v sále 013 v Tilburgu. Medzi zaznamenanými skladbami sú Age of Shadows, Beneath the Waves, The Fifth Extinction či The Day That the World Breaks Down.
Zostavu pri nahrávaní tvorili Arjen Anthony Lucassen, bubeník Ed Warby, klávesista Joost van den Broek, drevené dychové nástroje Jeroen Goossens a husľista Ben Mathot.
