Blind Guardian je nemecká power metalová kapela založená v roku 1985, ktorá patrí spolu s Helloween k priekopníkom žánru. Pôvodne pôsobila pod názvom Lucifer's Heritage, súčasné meno prijala v roku 1987.
The God Machine je dvanásty štúdiový album kapely vydaný 2. septembra 2022 vydavateľstvom Nuclear Blast. Je to prvý štúdiový album Blind Guardian po siedmich rokoch od albumu Beyond the Red Mirror (2015), čo predstavuje najdlhšiu prestávku medzi dvoma štúdiovými albumami v kariére skupiny. Dvojité CD obsahuje 21 nahrávok vrátane inštrumentálnych verzií všetkých skladieb z prvého disku. Medzi kľúčové skladby patria Deliver Us From Evil, takmer sedemminútový Secrets of the American Gods či Blood of the Elves. Druhý disk navyše prináša alternatívne verzie – Life Beyond the Spheres v cyber mixe a Destiny v gitarovej verzii.
Na albume sa podieľali André Olbrich (gitary, sprievodné vokály), Marcus Siepen (gitary, sprievodné vokály) a Frederik Ehmke (bicie, perkusie, priečna flauta, gajdy).
