Dream Theater je americká progresívna metalová kapela založená v roku 1985 v Bostone. Preslávila sa technickou virtuozitou, komplexnými skladbami a oddanosťou rockovému remeslu.
Album Lost Not Forgotten Archives: The Number Of The Beast 2002 na farebnom vinyle a CD zachytáva výnimočný koncert z Paríža roku 2002, keď kapela odohrala kompletný album The Number of the Beast od Iron Maiden. Nahrávka obsahuje všetkých osem skladieb originálu – od Invaders cez Children of the Damned až po monumentálne Hallowed Be Thy Name. Ide o poctu jednému z najslávnejších heavy metalových albumov všetkých čias, predvedenú v charakteristickom progresívnom štýle Dream Theater.
V čase nahrávky tvorili Dream Theater John Petrucci (gitara), John Myung (basgitara), Mike Portnoy (bicie), James LaBrie (spev) a Jordan Rudess (klávesy).
