David Gilmour je britský gitarista, spevák a skladateľ, ktorý sa preslávil ako člen skupiny Pink Floyd. Popri svojej práci s Pink Floyd vydal niekoľko sólových albumov a venuje sa aj hudobnej produkcii. V roku 2003 mu za zásluhy v hudbe a filantropii bol udelený Rád britského impéria.
Koncertné DVD Live At the Circus Maximus vydané vydavateľstvom Columbia prináša záznam Gilmourovho vystúpenia, v ktorom interpretuje ako klasické skladby Pink Floyd (Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, High Hopes), tak materiál zo svojich sólových albumov. Trojdiskové DVD obsahuje hlavný koncertný záznam i sprievodné dokumentárne materiály a zákulisné zábery.
Na albume sa podieľa aj Romany Gilmour, ktorá vystupuje na skladbe Between Two Points.
