HammerFall je švédska power metalová skupina z Göteborgu, založená v roku 1993 gitaristom Oscarom Dronjakom a Jesperom Strömblladom. Debutový album Glory to the Brave (1997) vyvolal v Európe novú vlnu záujmu o heavy metal.
Kompilácia Steel Meets Steel – Ten Years of Glory vyšla v roku 2007 vo vydavateľstve Nuclear Blast ako dvojCD a mapuje prvých desať rokov skupiny. Výber 29 skladieb zahŕňa kľúčové tracky ako Hearts on Fire, Renegade, Hero's Return aj živú verziu Let the Hammer Fall. Materiál pokrýva celú šírku tvorby od raných hymnických skladieb po neskoršie hitové nahrávky, ktoré HammerFall etablovali ako jednu z popredných síl európskeho power metalu.
Na albume sa podieľali Oscar Dronjak (gitara), Joacim Cans (spev), Magnus Rosén (basgitara), Stefan Elmgren (gitara) a Anders Johansson (bicie).
