Immolation je americká death metalová kapela z Yonkers v štáte New York, ktorá vznikla v roku 1986 pod názvom Rigor Mortis. Od debutu Dawn of Possession z roku 1991 si skupina vybudovala rešpekt pre technicky prepracovaný, brutálny zvuk.
Album Atonement vyšiel 24. februára 2017 u vydavateľstva Nuclear Blast ako desiaty štúdiový album kapely. Nahrávka obsahuje 11 skladieb s celkovou stopážou cez 44 minút a predstavuje ďalšiu kapitolu charakteristického death metalového štýlu skupiny. Medzi kľúčové skladby patria The Distorting Light, Rise the Heretics či titulná Atonement.
V čase vydania albumu tvorili zostavu Ross Dolan (basová gitara, spev), Robert Vigna (gitara), Steve Shalaty (bicie) a Alex Bouks (gitara).
