Iron Maiden je britská heavy metalová skupina založená v roku 1975 basistom Stevom Harrisom, ktorá je priekopníkom New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Jej vplyv na metal bol zásadný; od vydania debutového albumu v roku 1980 sa stala jednou z najstabilnejších a komerčne najúspešnejších kapiel žánru.
Death on the Road je šiesty koncertný záznam skupiny, vydaný v roku 2005 vo vydavateľstve Parlophone. Album bol nahraný 24. novembra 2003 vo Westfalenhallen v Dortmunde počas turné k albumu Dance of Death. Tento dvojvinyl prináša 16 skladieb, medzi ktorými nechýbajú klasiky ako Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark, The Number of the Beast či Run to the Hills, popri novších hitoch z albumov Brave New World a Dance of Death. Originálny mix pripravil Kevin Shirley, celok editoval Steve Harris.
Na albume sa podieľali Steve Harris (basová gitara, sprievodný spev, klávesy), Nicko McBrain (bicie, perkusie) a Janick Gers (gitara).
