The Jam bola britská punková a mod revival skupina z Wokingu, ktorej štýl vychádzal z punku, new wave a britského beatu 60. rokov. Tvorili ju Paul Weller (spev, gitara), Bruce Foxton (basgitara, spev) a Rick Buckler (bicie). Medzi rokmi 1977 a 1982 dosiahla kapela vo Veľkej Británii štyri single, ktoré sa dostali na prvé miesto rebríčkov, a osemnásť po sebe idúcich hitov v Top 40.
Album Snap! vyšiel pôvodne v roku 1983 ako retrospektívna kompilácia zhŕňajúca kariéru The Jam. Táto vinylová reedícia z roku 2019 ponúka prehľad vrcholných momentov skupiny naprieč šiestimi albumami, vrátane singlov „Going Underground“, „Town Called Malice“, „Start!“ a „Beat Surrender“. Kolekcia obsahuje singlové edície a remixované verzie rozložené na dvoch LP doskách s celkovo 29 skladbami.
