Kansas je americká progresívna rocková skupina z Topeky, ktorá vznikla na prelome 60. a 70. rokov. Patrí k významným predstaviteľom žánru, preslávila sa hitmi ako Carry On Wayward Son a Dust in the Wind a absolvovala stovky týždňov v amerických rebríčkoch.
Album The Absence of Presence vyšiel v júli 2020 u vydavateľstva Inside Out Music ako šestnásta štúdiová platňa kapely. Ponúka celkom 27 nahrávok na 2 Blu-ray diskoch, vrátane pôvodného stereo mixu, priestorového 5.1 mixu a videoobsahu. Medzi skladby patria Throwing Mountains, Circus of Illusion alebo Never.
