Manic Street Preachers je waleská alternatívno-rocková skupina, ktorá pôsobí od roku 1986. V ich tvorbe rezonujú inteligentné, ironické texty s politickým presahom; žánrovo kombinuje prvky indie rocku, britpopu i punkovej štylistiky.
National Treasures: The Complete Singles vyšlo v októbri 2011 vo vydavateľstve Columbia ako kompletný prehľad singlov kapely na dvoch CD. Ide o ich tretiu kompiláciu po greatest hits výbere Forever Delayed (2002) a kolekcii B-strán Lipstick Traces (2003). Album obsahuje 38 nahrávok a ako novinku ponúka coververziu This Is the Day od The The, ktorá vyšla ako singel v septembri 2011. V Spojenom kráľovstve sa kompilácia umiestnila na 10. mieste rebríčka.
V čase vydania zostavu tvorili James Dean Bradfield (gitara, spev), Sean Moore (bicie, perkusie, trúbka) a Nicky Wire (basgitara).
