Mercenary je dánska melodic death metalová kapela založená v roku 1991 v Aalborgu. Do svojej tvorby prináša prvky power a progresívneho metalu.
Album Soundtrack for the End Times vyšiel v roku 2023 vo vydavateľstve NoiseArt Records ako 4-panelový digipack so šestnásťstranovou brožúrou. Jedenásť skladieb sa pohybuje od energickej Burning in Reverse, cez Anthem for the Anxious, až po záverečnú sedemminútovú Beyond the Waves. Celkové vyznenie albumu kombinuje melodické death metalové riffy s mocnými power metalovými pasážami.
Na albume sa podieľali Mikkel Sandager, Morten Sandager, Martin Buus, Jakob Mølbjerg, Mike Park a Rene Pedersen.
