Metallica je americká metalová skupina založená v roku 1981 v Los Angeles. Patrí k najúspešnejším metalovým kapelám sveta a v 80. rokoch spolu so Slayer, Megadeth a Anthrax tvorila tzv. „veľkú štvorku“ thrash metalu.
Vydanie S&M2 na Blu-ray 3BD zachytáva viac než dve a pol hodiny záznamu koncertov z 6. a 8. septembra 2019 v Chase Center v San Franciscu, kde Metallica vystúpila spoločne so San Francisco Symphony pod taktovkou dirigenta Edwina Outwatera. Album nadväzuje na legendárnu spoluprácu z roku 1999 a ponúka 47 nahrávok vrátane orchestrálnych verzií hitov Nothing Else Matters, One, Master of Puppets či Enter Sandman. Vydalo ho vydavateľstvo Blackened.
V čase nahrania tvorili Metallicu James Hetfield (spev, gitara), Lars Ulrich (bicie), Kirk Hammett (gitara) a Robert Trujillo (basgitara).
