Motörhead bola anglická hard rocková skupina, ktorú založil v roku 1975 basgitarista a spevák Ian „Lemmy“ Kilmister. Skupina je považovaná za predchodcu novej vlny britského heavy metalu a v roku 2005 získala cenu Grammy.
Album On Parole predstavuje pôvodnú štúdiovú nahrávku Motörhead z rokov 1975–76, ktorá mala byť ich prvým albumom, no vydavateľstvo Parlophone UK ju odmietlo vydať. Platňa uzrela svetlo sveta až v novembri 1979, teda po komerčnom úspechu albumov Overkill a Bomber. Táto jubilejná edícia prináša Steven Wilson Remix k 50. výročiu v Atmos priestorovej kvalite na Blu-ray, kompletné štúdiové sessions rozdelené na tri CD so vzácnymi inštrumentálnymi outtakmi, štúdiovými dialógmi a extended verziami. Medzi skladby patria Motorhead, Vibrator, Iron Horse / Born To Lose či Lost Johnny.
V zostave pri pôvodnom nahrávaní albumu figurovali Lemmy Kilmister (basgitara, spev), Phil „Philthy Animal“ Taylor (bicie) a Eddie Clarke (gitara).
