New Order patrí medzi kľúčových predstaviteľov new wave a post-punku. Skupinu založili v roku 1980 zostávajúci členovia legendárnych Joy Division po tragickej smrti speváka Iana Curtisa. Vo svojich začiatkoch spájala post-punk s elektronikou, neskôr experimentovala s modernými technológiami a tanečnými rytmami. Ich singel Blue Monday z roku 1983 zostáva najpredávanejším dvanásťpalcovým singlom všetkých čias.
Živý album Education Entertainment Recreation vyšiel v roku 2021 u Warner Music na dvojitom CD. Obsahuje 21 skladieb zaznamenaných počas jediného britského koncertu v roku 2018 v londýnskej Alexandra Palace. Setlist zahŕňa klasiky ako Blue Monday, True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle, ale aj skladby z éry Joy Division (Love Will Tear Us Apart, Atmosphere), rovnako ako novšie kúsky typu Singularity.
V dobe vydania tvorili zostavu Stephen Morris (bicie, perkusie, syntezátory), Bernard Sumner (gitara, spev, syntezátory), Phil Cunningham (elektronické bicie, gitara, syntezátory) a Tom Chapman (basgitara, syntezátory).
