Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds je austrálska alternatívne rocková skupina založená v roku 1983 spevákom Nickom Caveom, multiinštrumentalistom Mickom Harveym a gitaristom Blixom Bargeldom po rozpade post-punkovej formácie The Birthday Party. Ich tvorba je charakteristická intenzívnymi emóciami, poetickými textami a originálnym prístupom k rockovej hudbe.
Trojvinyl Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds vyšiel v roku 2017 u vydavateľstva BMG a prináša retrospektívu tvorby kapely z rokov 1984–2014. Kompilácia obsahuje 21 skladieb zachytávajúcich najdôležitejšie momenty ich diskografie — od raných nahrávok ako From Her to Eternity a Tupelo cez ikonické Red Right Hand a duet s Kylie Minogue Where the Wild Roses Grow až po neskoršie Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! a Jubilee Street. Výber predstavuje vyvrcholenie tridsaťročnej tvorivej cesty jednej z najoriginálnejších post-punkových a alternatívne rockových kapiel.
V čase vydania kompilácie tvorili kapelu Nick Cave (spev, gitara, klávesy), Warren Ellis (husle, klavír, viola, ďalšie nástroje), Thomas Wydler (bicie), Martyn P. Casey (basgitara), Jim Sclavunos (bicie, perkusie), Conway Savage (klavír, organ) a Anita Lane (doplnkové vokály).
