Phil Ochs bol americký folkový spevák a autor protestných piesní, známy svojím ostrým vtipom, sarkazmom a politickým komentárom. V 60. a 70. rokoch napísal asi 200 piesní a vydal osem albumov.
Pleasures of the Harbor na CD prináša osem skladieb vrátane Cross My Heart, Outside of a Small Circle of Friends a titulnej Pleasures of the Harbor. Album reprezentuje Ochsovu tvorbu z obdobia, keď patril k najvýraznejším hlasom americkej protestnej scény.
