The Rolling Stones je britská rocková kapela založená v Londýne roku 1962, ktorá patrí k najobľúbenejším skupinám rockovej éry. Hlavnými tvorcami a frontmanmi sa stali spevák Mick Jagger a gitarista Keith Richards, zatiaľ čo pôvodný líder Brian Jones postupne ustupoval do pozadia.
The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus na DVD prináša záznam koncertnej televíznej show natočenej v dňoch 11. – 12. decembra 1968. Tento projekt, ktorý nebol odvysielaný až do 90. rokov, zachytáva nielen vystúpenie Stones, ale aj množstvo hostí vrátane The Who, Jethro Tull či Marianne Faithfull.
