Running Wild je nemecká heavy metalová skupina z Hamburgu, preslávená najmä pirátskou tematikou svojich piesní, ktorú začala rozvíjať od albumu Under Jolly Roger z roku 1987. Spolu s ďalšími nemeckými kapelami patrila k priekopníkom power a speed metalovej scény osemdesiatych rokov.
Kompilácia Riding the Storm: The Very Best of the Noise Years 1983–1995 vyšla v roku 2016 na 2 CD v digipaku u vydavateľstva Noise. Obsahuje 32 nahrávok z obdobia zlatej éry kapely, od raných skladieb ako Victim of States Power a Genghis Khan cez klasické Under Jolly Roger a Port Royal až po neskoršie kúsky typu Riding the Storm, Blazon Stone či Genocide. Album ponúka ucelený prehľad tvorby Running Wild z rokov spolupráce s vydavateľstvom Noise.
V dobe vydania tvorili zostavu Rolf Kasparek, Peter J. Jordan, Peter Pichl a Rüdiger Dreffein.
