Arlo Guthrie je americký folkový pesničkár, syn legendárneho Woodyho Guthrieho. Vo svojej tvorbe, podobne ako jeho otec, spieva proti spoločenským nespravodlivostiam a piesne sprevádza rozprávaním.
Soundtrack Alice's Restaurant na CD v digipacku vyšiel v roku 1969 na vydavateľstve MGM Records. Ide o hudbu k biografickému komediálnemu filmu režiséra Arthura Penna, ktorý adaptuje Guthrieho satirickú folkovú pieseň Alice's Restaurant Massacree z roku 1967 – osemnásťminútovú talking blues protestujúcu proti odvodom do vojny vo Vietname. Album obsahuje 22 nahrávok vrátane dielov Alice's Restaurant Massacree, Amazing Grace, Pastures of Plenty a Songs to Aging Children. Guthrie si vo filme zahral sám seba.
