Sting, vlastným menom Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, je anglický hudobník, spevák a skladateľ. Pred začatím svojej sólovej kariéry bol hlavným spevákom, skladateľom a basgitaristom rockovej skupiny The Police, ktorá patrila k najvýznamnejším kapelám sedemdesiatych a osemdesiatych rokov.
Album The Bridge vyšiel 19. novembra 2021 u vydavateľstva A&M Records a ide o Stingovo pätnásty štúdiový album. Predstavuje jeho prvú rockovo orientovanú platňu od albumu 57th & 9th z roku 2016. Album vznikal počas pandémie a osobných strát a obsahuje trinásť skladieb, medzi ktorými vyniká singel If It's Love, titulná skladba The Bridge či coverová verzia klasiky (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay. Na nahrávaní sa opäť podieľali dlhoroční spolupracovníci Branford Marsalis na saxofóne a klarinete a Manu Katché na bicích.
