Thin Lizzy je írska hard rocková skupina založená v Dubline v roku 1969, známa hitmi ako „Whiskey in the Jar“ alebo „The Boys Are Back in Town“. Frontmanom kapely bol basgitarista a spevák Phil Lynott, ktorý viedol skupinu pri nahrávaní dvanástich štúdiových albumov.
Vagabonds of the Western World je tretí štúdiový album kapely, vydaný v roku 1973 na vydavateľstve Deram. Táto japonská vinylová edícia zo série Legend Of Hard Rock obsahuje 8 skladieb s celkovou stopážou vyše 40 minút. Ide o posledný album s pôvodným gitaristom Ericom Bellom a prvý s obálkou od umelca Jima Fitzpatricka, ktorého dielo sa neskôr stalo ikonickým pre vizuálnu identitu skupiny. Album predstavuje tvrdší, hard rockový zvuk oproti predchádzajúcim albumom a obsahuje skladby ako The Rocker, Mama Nature Said alebo titulnú Vagabond of the Western World.
Na albume sa podieľali Phil Lynott (basgitara, spev), Eric Bell (gitara), Brian Downey (bicí) a hosťujúci gitaristi Gary Moore, Steve Johnson a Snowy White.
