Type O Negative bola americká gothic metalová skupina z Brooklynu, ktorú v roku 1989 založil Peter Steele spoločne s Kennym Hickeym, Joshom Silverom a Salom Abruscatom. Kapela získala platinovú platňu za album Bloody Kisses (1993) a zlatú platňu za October Rust (1996).
