Unanimated je švédska death metalová kapela založená v roku 1988 v Štokholme, pôsobiaca v žánri melodického death metalu s prvkami black metalu. Po raných demo nahrávkach sa kapela stala súčasťou undergroundovej švédskej metalovej scény.
In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead je debut kapely, vydaný v roku 1993 u vydavateľstva Pavement Music. Album obsahuje 11 skladieb a patrí k raným príkladom melodického death metalu, kombinujúceho tvrdosť death metalu s atmosférickými prvkami a melodickými linkami. Vychádza na CD. Napriek tomu, že kritiky boli pozitívne, album zostal undergroundovým tipom, čiastočne kvôli malému vydavateľstvu a upadajúcemu komerčnému záujmu o death metal v polovici 90. rokov. Medzi výraznejšie skladby patria Blackness of the Fallen Star, Fire Storm alebo titulná In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead.
V čase vydania albumu tvorili kapelu Jojje Bohlin, Micke Jansson, Daniel Lofthagen, Jonas Mellberg, Peter Stjärnvind a Jocke Westman.
