The White Stripes bolo americké rockové duo z Detroitu, aktívne v rokoch 1997–2011. Tvorili ho Jack White (spev, gitara, piano) a Meg White (bicie), ktorých minimalistický prístup k blues a garage rocku zásadne ovplyvnil alternatívnu scénu. Ich album Elephant priniesol hit „Seven Nation Army“, ktorý v roku 2004 získal cenu Grammy za najlepšiu rockovú pieseň.
Album The White Stripes Greatest Hits vyšiel v decembri 2020 na dvojitom LP u Third Man Records. Ide o prvý oficiálny výber najväčších hitov dua, ktorý zhromažďuje 26 skladieb z ich šiestich štúdiových albumov i samostatné single „Let's Shake Hands“ a „Jolene“. Kompilácia ponúka prierez tvorbou od konca 90. rokov po koniec kariéry, zahŕňa ako skoré garážové nahrávky, tak aj neskoršie hity ako Fell in Love With a Girl, Icky Thump alebo Blue Orchid.
